The only preservatives used are: Citrus Seed Extract, Vitamins A, C and E. It is made from Coconut, soybeans, fennel extract, Camomile extract, vanilla and almond oil among a few others and is Organic. Likes: It took until about age 3 1/2 for my daughter to actually be able to sit in the bath tub and she always cried when having her hair washed. This is the first shampoo that does not bother her or us as her parents. Her dad is very allergic to many products. It makes her hair very shiny and even adds a bit of bounce to it.
